Vortex of Attraction
Ultimate Southern Caribbean Cruise
March 19 – 29, 2027
Dear Friends,
I would like it so much if you would join us on this Caribbean Cruise next spring, March 19 through March 29, 2027. As I am looking over the itinerary for this cruise and seeing these beautiful pictures I want to go there today. Wouldn’t it be fun to spend those ten days together on-board this gorgeous Celebrity ship (The Ascent) and experience together this beautiful part of the world? As I’m writing this note I am transported to the feeling of stepping on-board and taking in the grandeur of this ship. Really, friends, this ship will knock you over — it’s so amazing!
I so appreciate the ease of being able to see so many different places in only ten days in the ease and comfort of our beautiful ship. The cruise line has chosen the itinerary; the ports are all ready to welcome us with their landscape and shops and restaurants and excursions and music; we wake up in another glorious place day after day; the incredible and abundant food is at our fingertips; we only unpack one time — and the best part is we get to do it with each other! We will have many hours together in the ship’s theater with Abraham and we will see you in the restaurants, and at the swimming pool or spa, on the dance floor, in the elevators, casinos, or coffee bar!
I hope looking at these pictures uplifts you as it does me, and I will love it if you decide to come and play with us. I think of this as expansion at its very best!
With much love,
Esther
(and Abraham and Jerry)

Prior to embarking the ship or when you return, take time to visit Ft. Lauderdale. This area is famous for its beaches, arts, culture and events: from shopping on Las Olas Boulevard, to gondola rides on the canals, to a historic riverfront. Just two miles north of Port Everglades, you can experience Fort Lauderdale’s landscaped beachfront promenade, with its signature white wave wall and brick-paved path. Enjoy dining on Las Olas Boulevard or the historical districts and visit the mansions and yachts dotting Millionaires Row. Another fun adventure is to the Everglades for an air boat excursion.
Philipsburg combines its historical legacy with 20th century excitement. A dash of Paris, a splash of Holland, and Caribbean essence make this little island a blend of pure paradise. St. Maarten’s beaches are among the region’s most breathtaking. Shared by the French and Dutch for over 350 years, it’s like visiting two islands in one. St. Maarten features some of the best shopping buys in the Caribbean. Sidewalk cafes, open air markets, and beautiful white sand beaches lined with coconut palms await you.
St. Lucia offers a different side of the Caribbean than you’ve ever seen before. Castries is the capital of St. Lucia, and is a walkable, bustling town. Try traditional St. Lucian food, including saltfish and green banana, the region’s signature dish. St. Lucia itself is sprawling and mountainous, protected yet easily explorable. The town can certainly entertain your day, but you could also venture further inland for thrills and outdoor adventures, like hiking one of the volcanic Pitons, a spire-like mountain promising incredible views of St. Lucia from the summit. Take a mud bath at Sulphur Spring Park or simply swim and snorkel at Pigeon Island National Park or the beautiful Reduit Beach. St. Lucia is home to Marigot Bay, which novelist James A. Michener described as “the most beautiful bay in the Caribbean.”
St. George’s is a symphony of color draped over the rim of an ancient volcanic crater. As you approach by sea, the town reveals itself as a vibrant mosaic of pastel-washed brick and sun-bleached stone, with terracotta roofs that seem to tumble down lush, emerald hillsides toward the shimmering turquoise of the Caribbean. At its heart lies the Carenage, a graceful, horseshoe-shaped harbor where the air is filled with the smells of nutmeg, cinnamon, and clove. Here, the water acts as a mirror for a fleet of brightly painted wooden fishing boats and sleek yachts, while the surrounding areas pulse with the gentle rhythm of island life. When the sun begins to dip, the town is bathed in a golden, honeyed light, turning the harbor into a liquid jewel. It is a place where colonial elegance meets tropical wildness—a true “Spice Isle” sanctuary that feels both frozen in time and vibrantly alive.
This little teardrop of an island weighs in at a mere 14 miles long by 21 miles wide. Musical and joyous, Barbados melds island warmth and English heritage. In Bridgetown, discover 400 years of history, while outside of “Town” you can explore gorgeous beaches, dramatic Atlantic coast, panoramic views, and hidden geological wonders. Unique limestone formations, natural hiking trails and remnants of the old railway are forever a part of its renowned history. Barbados is a charming island of rich culture, tropical beauty, inspiring landscapes, and fun ways to discover it all. Feel your spirits soar as you connect with nature, immerse yourself in true local culture, and enjoy new experiences.
Antigua, named by Christopher Columbus in 1493, is home to 365 beaches – one every day – hidden among the countless cliffs and bays. The lush rainforest, dramatic landscapes, and turquoise waters tempt eco-adventurers from swimmers to hikers to zip-line flyers. In St. John’s, the capital city of Antigua, you’ll find farmers markets, candy-colored architecture and a kaleidoscope of coral reefs and sailing adventures. Enjoy tasty Caribbean cuisine and seafood, and when it’s time to go shopping, find Caribbean fashions and local crafts, in the duty-free shops of St. John’s. Browse luxurious Heritage Quay or quaint seaside Redcliffe Quay. For the island’s early cultures, visit the Museum, housed in a 1750’s colonial courthouse.
