Dear Friends,

When I was growing up, living with my parents, there was a really nice young couple with three sweet children who lived next door. I was their usual babysitter, and I loved being that. Sandra kept the most organized, immaculate home, and I loved being there. I learned so much about my personal preferences regarding many things from Sandra.

About once a month when I would go there to watch their children, I would find the furniture in their large living room had been re-arranged. Everything in the room was, once again, in a different place. I asked Sandra why she kept doing that. She said, “It just makes me feel happier.”

Last week I hired some really great young men to make some changes in my living room. We flipped the seating area in my living room. And so, today, I’m sitting in my favorite chair which is sitting in a different spot and I am looking out of a different window seeing different flowers and trees. And I feel happier.

Funny how a willingness to accomplish a slight shift in perspective can make a noticeable difference in the way we feel. I move from place to place maybe about as much as anyone I know, and I have continual new vantage points from which to observe our world. But even so, I can tell, that I have created some habitual awareness or thinking grooves (or ruts) that seem to lock me in to patterns of thought that may not always be that helpful to me. So my new intention is to deliberately stand in different points of view to see how the world looks from here. So far so good!

I am so happy to be heading to San Rafael, CA this weekend for another spectacular seminar with Abraham on Saturday. If you feel inspired, I would love to see you there.
