Dear Friends,
I actually have quite a bit I need/should do today. I have been mostly inactive for a couple of weeks since shingles bubbled up and took me down. Did I suggest to you that you do not get shingles? So I sat this morning, contemplating where to begin in a “I need to get going” attitude. And then, my attention was drawn to outside and I stopped to look at what a beautiful day today is, out there. Then a large bird flew into my view and I laughed and said “Hi!” And with that slight shift in my attention my thoughts tipped ever so slightly to considering an improvement I would like to make on my outdoor patio and I felt my mood lighten from “should do” to “want to do.”
I do understand (Abraham has been explaining it with so much emphasis recently) that our thoughts are always trending and how helpful it is when we deliberately focus, or deliberately trend, and so, I decided to take a few minutes to deliberately trend. I opened a new computer document and entitled it “Fun things to think about.” And within a couple of minutes, I renamed it, “New Fun Things to Think About.” My mind drifted, floated, focused from pleasant idea to pleasant idea about a truly mixed bag of topics.
Interesting observation: Now (at least for a while) my “should do’s” feel like “want to do’s.” I would like this feeling to last. Forever!
We will be conducting another Abraham NOW live workshop this coming Saturday, 11/13/21. If you would like to join us, click here!
Our Love,
Esther
